Secured victory after starting from ninth postion Max Verstappen came from ninth place to win the FORMULA 1 MIAMI GRAND PRIX 2023.
Verstappen had endured a difficult qualifying session and started the grid on P9. He was soon racing through the pack, however, pushing his tyres to the max to complete a series of fine moves to race into P1. With ten laps to go, and with Verstappen second only to teammate Sergio Perez he launched his attack. The two Oracle Red Bull Racing drivers duelled for the lead before Verstappen came out on top to take the chequered flag, He becomes the first driver to win from ninth on the grid since Niki Lauda in 1984.
